Your Impact in Burkina Faso

Three Times the Joy at the Triplets’ Celebration!

Birthday parties help the triplets know they are loved.

The infant mortality rate in Burkina Faso is much higher than the average. This is scary for any mother, but especially for Yasmina, who had three little boys to think about. But despite Yasmina’s fear and the boys’ premature birth, Madjid, Djamal and Manane are now healthy and happy 1-year-olds, and they celebrated with their entire community!

Watch as Yasmina shares about her boys and her heartfelt thanks.

“Caring for a baby is hard, and it’s even harder to care for three sons at a time. I am grateful for the teachings on entrepreneurship, hygiene and sanitation I receive at the Nurturers center,” she says. “Assita [the Nurturers staff member] is challenging women like me to be brave and work hard. As the triplets grow, I will start a business to support my family in the future.”

Your continued support makes these parties possible. There are more moms and babies enrolling every day. Thank you for your faithfulness! If you are interested in continuing the journey with a 1-year-old child from Burkina Faso, consider sponsorship.
