Rescue From a Dangerous Situation

Lucas was 13 when his mother left him at home alone to care for his younger siblings. Lucas quickly became depressed and anxious. He even stopped attending the Compassion center. But, because of the support of partners like you, staff visited Lucas and offered immediate help.

“Lucas now comes to the center daily to eat with the staff and do his homework,” says Evelyn, the center director. “We support him in what he needs. He tells his tutor how he feels and what he does during the day. Also, the mother reconsidered her decision to leave her children.”
