We Asked Kids: What Do You Wish You Knew About Your Sponsor?

Seven kids told us what they would like to know about their sponsors – and they just might give you some ideas for a letter to your own sponsored child!

Sponsorship is a big part of a child’s life. Because they’re sponsored, they now have better education, good health care, nutritional support and so much more. Kids also get something else: encouragement from you, their sponsor. Your care about their lives and belief in their success means so much!

There are probably a lot of things you want to know about your sponsored child. But have you ever thought of what he or she wants to know about you? As a sponsor, you can write to your sponsored child. This is fun, but sometimes it can be hard to know what to say. You want to write. You just don’t know what he or she wants to hear.

Seven kids living in countries from Peru to Indonesia are here to tell you it doesn’t have to be that way. We asked them what they wanted to know about their sponsors, and some of their answers might surprise you. Each one is an idea for your next letter!
