Maria Supports Her Family Day by Day

Maria and her son, Amza, are thriving in Burkina Faso. Baby Amza is reaching his first milestones, from walking to talking and getting his first two teeth.

Even though her little one is on the go, mom Maria can’t spend her days chasing him. Last quarter, you saw that Maria is a master of the baby wrap. Now you can see why she needs it with busy Amza!

Each day, she takes care of her chores at home, then straps Amza on her back and bikes to the farm where she grows millet, peanuts and beans. She also sells Soumbala spices, fruits and vegetables to support her family.

The local Nurturers center has supported Maria with a loving community, medical care and support for Amza. But the center isn’t just providing care for the family’s immediate needs — they’re helping Maria develop skills to support her family in the days ahead. She’s learning how to run a business and increase her resources one step at a time.

And with the love and support of the church walking beside her, the days ahead look bright.

If God is calling you to do even more, you can empower moms like Maria with income generation training. Give now.
