Apryl Rupp
Grounded in Compassion’s Cultural Behavior of being “100% for One Another,” Apryl has a deep care for people and a calling to help others live into God’s purpose for their lives — personally, professionally and spiritually. Her leadership reflects an unwavering commitment to Compassion’s mission and to the children and youth we serve. She expresses that commitment by ensuring the global workforce is supported, equipped and strategically aligned to strengthen culture, accelerate performance and enable sustainable impact.
Since joining Compassion in 2013, Apryl has been instrumental in designing, strengthening and integrating many of the ministry’s core People & Culture practices. Prior to stepping into her current role, she served as Vice President of People & Culture Partnerships, where she helped shape People & Culture into a more integrated, enterprise‑wide function and partnered closely with senior leaders to navigate complex change.
During her more than 25 years of human resources leadership, Apryl has served in diverse organizational settings spanning global manufacturing, real estate, financial services and workforce solutions, including experience with General Motors, AIMCO, Interbay Funding and Kelly Services. This breadth of experience informs her ability to align people strategy with organizational priorities while remaining deeply attentive to culture, mission and long‑term sustainability.
Apryl holds a Master of Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Colorado State University. She also holds SPHR and SHRM‑SCP credentials.
