By providing access to education, health care and basic necessities, child sponsorship acts as a catalyst for lasting change. Children sponsored through Compassion are surrounded by safe adults who know them individually, live in the love of Jesus and offer the specific support they need as they journey out of poverty.
Apefa is 15 years old and lives in Togo with her father, mother, other relative and 3 brothers. She loves art or drawing, ball games, bicycling, clapping hands to rhythm, dancing, dolls, group games, hide and seek, jacks, jumping, jump rope, listening to stories, marbles, music, putting words together in phrases, reading, rolling a ball, running, saying words, singing, soccer or football, sports, story telling, throwing a ball, and walking. At the Compassion Center, she enjoys learning about God, singing songs, listening to Bible stories, playing sports, playing games, snack or meal time, dancing or drama, going on field trips or excursions, and spending time with friends. Apefa writes letters in French.
