Help a Child Like Geremy
Living in poverty in the Dominican Republic, little Geremy’s family couldn’t afford much, including beds. They slept on a quilt on their home’s hard floor every night.
When Geremy’s mother, Yenny, learned that the Compassion center provided income-generation training, she saw a way to solve two problems at once. She signed up for an upholstery course, learning to make mattresses and other furniture. She now sells her handiwork to support her family. And, of course, she made mattresses for her own children.
