A Sponsor Helped Bernisse Rise From the Ashes

When Bernisse was 14 years old, her home was destroyed by a fire. While her family escaped unharmed, they lost all their possessions.

Bernisse included the devastating news in a letter to her sponsor, Tracy, who immediately stepped up to help.

Tracy sent the family the funds they needed to rebuild their home. She also continued to send encouraging letters to Bernisse, inspiring hope in her heart.

“The fire may have taken our home, but it didn’t take our hope. Thanks to Tracy, I know that I can face any challenge. I am not alone, and I am not defeated. My dreams are alive, and so am I.” — Bernisse
