Change the Life of a Child Like Magaly

One day, Magaly’s legs started to shake when she tried to walk. Each day, the pain worsened until walking was impossible.

Magaly was rushed to the hospital after a medical exam, where she underwent MRIs, blood tests and much more. With her family making less than $200 a month, the tests came at a cost they couldn’t afford.

The local church, through the support of Compassion, helped the family cover the expenses. They were also able to pay for Magaly’s cervical spine surgery, which gave her the ability to walk again.

“Many parents can relate to the feeling of not having the means to medically treat their children. We appreciate the center’s financial help and care for Magaly.” — Gladys, Magaly’s mother
