Help Give Hope in the Middle of Crisis

Joel’s family worked tirelessly in their small garden. But drought left the family suffering from the food crisis that’s affecting millions across Africa.

Traditional farming methods were no longer working. Through Compassion, the local church hosted a training on modern farming techniques. The family learned new ways to plant, water and protect their crops. They also received high-quality seeds and fertilizer.

Their garden is now thriving, producing enough food to feed the entire family.

“Before the training organized by Compassion, I thought there was only one way to farm … The training opened my eyes and boosted my production. When I used to harvest three sacks of onions, this year I reaped five.” — Jacques, Joel’s father
