COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (December 12, 2025) – Compassion International is honored to announce its ranking as #11 on Forbes’ 2025 list of America’s Top 100 Charities, moving up from #12 last year. This makes Compassion the largest privately funded international Christian child development organization in the USA. More importantly, the recognition reflects the trust and generosity of our supporters and the unwavering dedication to our mission of releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name.
In 2025, Compassion partnered with more than 9,000 frontline church partners to serve over 2.4 million children across 29 countries, providing holistic care that addresses a child’s spiritual, economic, social, and physical needs. This milestone would not be possible without the faithful support of supporters, employees, volunteers, ministry partners and foundations worldwide.
“Forbes’ annual ranking is a testament to the transparency, stewardship, and impact that our donors make possible,” said Joe Wilkins, Chief Financial Officer at Compassion International. “We are deeply grateful for every individual, church, and partner who invests in the lives of children in Jesus’ name. Your commitment enables us to provide hope and opportunity to millions of children living in poverty around the world.”
The Forbes Top 100 Charities list evaluates organizations based on private donations, fundraising efficiency, and charitable commitment. Compassion International is encouraged that its continued presence among the top charities underscores its accountability and effectiveness in transforming lives.
