How We're Responding

Supporting Those Most at Risk in Haiti

Since 2021, Haiti has faced overlapping crises — from natural disasters to economic collapse and violent political unrest. Much of Port-au-Prince is now controlled by gangs, with other regions affected as well.

Yet even in crisis, the Church can’t be stopped. Local churches are following Jesus into places of desperate need with courage, strength and hope — providing practical support for vulnerable children and families.

Stand With Haiti's Most Vulnerable Children

In partnership with the local church, your donation delivers immediate, life-saving support to children and families caught in crisis. Your generosity helps:

  • Provide hygiene kits, health care and emergency resources.

  • Deliver food assistance and safer shelter for displaced children.

  • Offer mental, emotional and spiritual support in a great time of need.

Keep Hope Alive Through the Local Church

Our church partners are working around the clock to adapt their care and protect the children who depend on them. Equipping the local church helps:

  • Keep children safe through home visits and virtual connections.

  • Support staff and volunteers serving Haiti’s most vulnerable families.

  • Ensure continuous care, even as circumstances change.

Your Contributions Are Stewarded Wisely

Every gift you give through Compassion is handled with integrity and care. We follow strict financial guardrails to ensure accountability, transparency and the flexibility to invest wisely for long-term impact. Here’s a brief explanation of how funds are allocated:

In fiscal year 2025, 80% of every dollar went straight to program work through our local church partners — including education, medical care, nutrition, child protection and sharing God’s love with children living in poverty and their families.

A Pastor's Word of Thanks

"I’d like to thank our supporters. Thank you so much in the name of all Haitian pastors and those who are living difficult situations in Port-au-Prince. We understand that our supporters have this love in their heart for the children, love for people in need. We want to say thank you, and we are grateful for you."
