About Giving to Compassion
How can you donate? Why should you donate to Compassion? Learn the impact of your gift on the lives of children living in poverty.
There are many ways to donate to Compassion. For example, you can choose from our list of critical needs to deliver urgent care like medical assistance or disaster relief. Or you can sponsor a child to offer monthly support that helps a local church equip a child with the resources needed to leave poverty behind.
Our Financial Integrity
Where does your gift go and how is it used? At Compassion, we’re dedicated to financial integrity, stewarding your donation to make the greatest impact for children in need.
Yes. Compassion is committed to providing consistent care to all registered children in our programs. That’s why we use a pooled funding model, where sponsorship payments are combined into a central fund each month.
After covering essential operational costs, the remaining funds are carefully allocated to ensure every sponsored child receives consistent, high-quality support, even if individual donations are late or missed.
This approach allows us to be good financial stewards while complying with U.S. tax regulations. Without it, administrative costs would rise, and program quality could suffer. By pooling funds, Compassion and its church partners can provide stable, high-quality care for every child in the program.

Donate to Change a Child's Life
Your generosity is more than a transaction — it’s a tangible act of hope. Whether you give once or choose to become a child sponsor, your donation equips local churches to share the love of Jesus with children in need by meeting their critical needs. Every donation helps us release a child from poverty in Jesus’ name.
