Compassion Sunday Checklist: The Day of Your Event

It's the big day! You are standing up for those living in poverty and inviting your church family to sponsor children in need. Check off these steps along the way. We're cheering for you!

On Presentation Day

You've prepared, you've prayed and now it’s time to put your plan into action. These simple steps will help everything go smoothly.

Get Ready!

Make sure your sponsorship table is set up and looking great. Test your equipment—videos, slides, and anything else you’ll use—so everything runs smoothly. Take a quick look at the presentation guide in your event kit for helpful tips.

Give Your Presentation

You’ve got this! Speak from the heart, share your story and show the video. Invite others to sponsor a child and point them to the sponsorship table after the service.

Help People Sponsor

Head to your table after the service. When someone picks a child to sponsor, they can either scan the QR code on the packet to sign up online or fill out the attached form, tear it off, and leave it with you. The packet is theirs to keep! Follow the return instructions sent with the child packets to send forms back to Compassion for processing.

Like You, Kasey and Evie Took a Step of Faith

Kasey and her daughter, Evie, hosted a Compassion Sunday event at their church in South Carolina. They loved supporting their sponsored child but felt ready to do more. A Compassion Sunday event was the perfect fit.
