When children do not have enough food to eat, or the food available to them lacks necessary nutrients--malnutrition, starvation and chronic health issues become a serious and potentially life-threatening reality.
Compassion's Health and Nutrition initiatives support the local church to meet the life-threatening needs of children in our program, while also providing preventive care to support long-term wellness.
Compassion is committed to the long-term care of each child registered in our program. With your support, we can provide each child with the medical attention he or she needs to stay healthy and thrive.
We're committed to the highest standards of financial integrity and accountability, only using money for the purpose it was raised, regularly performing audits to ensure our programs are well managed and funds are properly disbursed and applied. We balance low administrative and fundraising costs with high-quality programs.
When Moses was nine years old, he fell and broke his ankle while playing with his friends. After seeking help, initial medical treatments failed, leaving Moses with a life-threatening infection. The only solution? Amputation.
Moses’ Compassion center provided him and his family with the financial, emotional and mental support they needed to recover. Three years later, Moses is a thriving 12-year-old who runs and plays with a perfectly fitted prosthetic leg.
“Compassion paid all the hospital bills and provided counseling for Moses. They checked on us regularly and prayed and encouraged us. We are eternally grateful and all we can offer in return is our heartfelt thanks.” — Grandma Janet, Moses’ grandmother
