How We Provide Clean Water
Compassion partners with thousands of local churches in 25 countries to bring safe water and improved sanitation to the children in our care. Clean water helps them stay healthy, remain active in school and focus their energy on overcoming poverty.

The water and sanitation fund helps children like Nyabwiri
In Tanzania (Africa), unsafe water is the only water option for most families. That water threatens to steal the life of children like Nyabwiri and her family.
After school, Nyabwiri would go to a stream to fill jugs and buckets with the unsafe water and walk home. The buckets could weigh about 30 pounds. The water would be used for drinking, cooking and washing. Compassion partners and donors put in wells and latrines in her community, giving families safe water and giving children more time for education and play.
Today, Nyabwiri is healthy and attending school regularly. She hopes to be a nurse when she grows up.

Donate Water
When you donate for safe water and sanitary latrines, you change a community and save lives. Compassion’s Water and Sanitation program provides safe water and sanitary latrines in developing countries around the world.
Through the program, children from countries in Africa, Asia, South America and Central America receive safe and clean drinking water to improve their health. Through your water donation, children are kept safe from water-related illnesses like typhoid and cholera. These illnesses are very serious and often keep children from going to school and reaching their full potential.
