Flood waters have receded in West Kalimantan. In total, 96 beneficiaries and their families were affected. All impacted beneficiaries and their families are well and have returned to their daily activities. The Child Development Centers (CDCs) provided impacted families with basic relief items and the local government provided temporary housing while needed.

Disaster Alert: October 31, 2021
On October 31, 2021, heavy rain caused flooding in West Kalimantan. The impacted area includes Sintang, Sekadau, and Melawi City. So far, 90 beneficiaries and their families have been affected. The Child Development Centers (CDCs) are providing impacted families with basic relief items and the local government is providing temporary housing. The Compassion East Indonesia National Office will continue to assess the situation and report updates as they become available.
