What is Child Sponsorship?

Child sponsorship provides children the care and resources they need to conquer the challenges of poverty and achieve freedom in Jesus’ name.

Child Sponsorship Explained

Child Sponsorship is a long-term commitment to encourage and support a child as they grow. Through monthly support, sponsors help empower a local church to care for a child’s immediate needs, share the hope of the gospel and provide consistent guidance along the way.

Through a one-to-one connection, each child receives care that is tailored to their right-now needs—helping them feel seen, known and supported rather than facing life’s challenges alone.

What Child Sponsorship Provides

Through partnership with local churches, child sponsorship supports children in practical and meaningful ways. This includes access to education, medical care, nutrition, emotional support and safe community – meeting children where they are and responding to their unique circumstances.

With trusted, local relationships, children are introduced to the gospel not just through words, but through care they can see and experience. Sponsorship gives a child the opportunity to encounter Jesus while being supported in ways that nurture their dignity, voice and sense of belonging.

Why Long-Term Support Matters

Release from poverty doesn’t happen overnight. As children grow and change, they need consistent care and encouragement to navigate challenges, build resilience and develop confidence in who they are and who God created them to be.

By providing long-term spiritual, physical, emotional and mental support, child sponsorship walks alongside children over time—helping them grow in faith, overcome poverty and move toward futures shaped with hope and opportunity.

We believe that no child should face life’s challenges alone. That’s why, through Compassion, one sponsor is connected with one child—ensuring that each child feels seen, known and supported in a way that meets their unique needs.

When you sponsor a child, you’re joining them on their journey to build a strong mind and a resilient spirit. Maybe they’re struggling with self-doubt, feeling overwhelmed by school or simply needing encouragement to dream big. Your support means they always have someone cheering them on.

Through the care of a local, loving church, children receive personalized guidance—things like tutoring to help boost confidence, emotional support to help them express their feelings or even a mentor who listens and reminds them that they’re not alone.

Your sponsorship also provides access to critical mental health resources children need in order to thrive. Compassion equips local staff and caregivers to recognize signs of distress, offer counseling and create environments where children feel safe to share and grow.

With access to education, emotional care and a supportive community, children learn to overcome challenges, build resilience and see the bright future that lies ahead.

At every turn, your support is there helping a child feel understood and valued. It’s the difference between feeling lost in a crowd and feeling seen and celebrated by those around them. Because of you, a child always has someone to lean on and a community that believes in them.

When you choose to sponsor, you’re doing more than providing resources. You’re becoming part of a child’s story—helping them grow stronger in mind, spirit and faith. Together, we’re creating a world where no child walks alone and every child has the support they need to thrive in Jesus’ name.

Hi, I’m Caleb, and I want to thank each of you who has chosen to stand with a child—ensuring they grow strong in mind, heart and spirit through your sponsorship.
