What's Next for Compassion

At Compassion, we have one mission: To release children from poverty in Jesus’ name. Millions of children live in poverty around the world, and we want to reach them. We’re actively evolving our approach to equip more churches and enter new countries so every child thrives in their God-given potential.

Expanding to New Countries

The need is urgent, compelling us to act. That’s why we’re working to expand into Malawi, Zambia, Cambodia and Myanmar while seeking opportunities in other countries. 

Our expansion is the culmination of years of prayer, relationship building, biblical discernment and intensive research. Although the mission is urgent, our pace is deliberate. We walk in the wisdom God provides and respond to needs verified through data and research.  

We partner with established local churches in these countries to extend their reach and capacity. Together, we care for children in poverty, helping kids grow and thrive.

Children die before reaching age 5, mostly from preventable causes due to extreme poverty.

Christ-Centered

Jesus is at the center of everything we do. Every child in our program hears the gospel and sees it in action through local church pastors, volunteers and sponsors around the world. 

Church-Driven

We empower local churches in impoverished communities to serve children in need. These churches become consistent sources of light and hope, representing Christ, making disciples in their communities and caring for children as they grow. 

Child-Focused

We address each child’s unique immediate and long-term needs. With proper care, children become thriving followers of Jesus, transforming their families, communities and nations.

The Heart of Child Sponsorship

When you sponsor a child through Compassion, you encourage a child and donate to them monthly. This consistent support empowers a local church to care for a child’s immediate needs, introduce them to the gospel and prepare them for a brighter future. 

Child sponsorship empowers every child with:
