We work exclusively in partnership with local churches because they know their communities best — and they are the hands and feet of Jesus. Thanks to supporters like you, we opened more than 330 new Compassion centers in 2025. In total, we partner with over 9,263 churches across 29 countries.

Top Stories of 2025
Leidy grew up in a home shadowed by illness and scarcity. As a child, she watched her parents struggle with serious health problems and often wondered whether education or a future beyond survival was possible. Poverty made school feel distant and hope hard to imagine.
When her Compassion center and sponsor stepped in, Leidy met people who believed in her and invested in her potential. Through educational support, mentoring and consistent encouragement from her sponsor, she began to see a different path. Today, Leidy studies nursing and cares for the sick in her community — a living light in places that once felt dark. Her story demonstrates how Compassion aims to empower children through the local church to experience Christ’s love and to share it with those around them.

Lighting the Way in 2026
In 2026, we’ll keep bringing Christ’s light to children in the darkness of poverty, releasing them from poverty in Jesus’ name, by extending our reach even further.
We plan to open 270 new Compassion centers and welcome 17,000+ new children into the program.
Each center will be a beacon of light — a place where children can learn, dream and be transformed by the hope of Christ.
