Shaun Sinniah
Shaun was born in Sri Lanka, then lived in the Middle East and spent much of his youth in Hong Kong before moving to the UK for university. That beautiful global exposure shaped him in many meaningful ways, including leading him to serve those with great needs in the body of Christ. His long history with Compassion began when he sponsored his first child at age 18 and now includes service on the Compassion UK board of directors as well, where he is currently their board chair.
After earning degrees in engineering, Shaun initially worked as a research scientist and church intern before commencing a career in finance at Goldman Sachs. He then transitioned to the reinsurance broking business where he has held executive roles in two Fortune 100 firms, working with some of the world’s largest corporations. Since 2023, Shaun has been president of Miller Re, a global reinsurance broker backed by the Sovereign Wealth Fund of Singapore.
In addition to being an active member of Hillsong Church in London, Shaun is passionate about all things cricket and his local football team, Fulham FC.
