Blake Canterbury

Blake Canterbury is a social entrepreneur with a passion for leveraging technology to inspire generosity and serve those in need. He is the founder of Purposity, a platform dedicated to building a movement of people living generously and discovering purpose through meeting local needs.

In 2009, Blake launched beremedy, one of the earliest organizations to use social media to connect people who needed help with those who could provide it. CNN recognized beremedy as one of the “three best Twitter usages worldwide,” and the organization played a leading role in providing aid after the 2010 Haiti earthquake.

Over the past decade, Blake has focused on creating innovative ways to harness technology and storytelling for good—from developing mobile apps and leading media campaigns to speaking on topics of generosity, innovation and social impact. His work has been featured by Forbes, People, CNN and the Today Show, reaching audiences around the world.
