Born in a small, rural community in Nicaragua, Nelson and his family felt hopeless for the future. Yet, after enrolling in the Compassion program and receiving the gift of English-speaking skills from faithful stewards like you, he was exposed to many amazing opportunities. Now, Nelson shares his gift with all the children at the center by working as a teacher to inspire others to reach their goals.

“When I got the scholarship [gift], I was told that this would one day help me to be of service to others,” Nelson tells us.
