Masungwa and her husband had to repair their house every year following the eight-month-long rainy season. However, when their son, Doto, was registered with the nearby Compassion center, Doto’s family was empowered to build a strong, safe house. Because of the gifts of partners like you, Masungwa and 20 other families received sturdy, kiln-fired bricks to rebuild and maintain their homes.

“I never thought I would be able to build a house my family would be safe in. With our new house, my children are safe, and I don’t have to sleep with one eye open,” says Masungwa.
