How Compassion Helps

Mumu, a Compassion-assisted child in Kenya, is no stranger to malaria. Several times a year she struggled through the fever, headaches and pain of malaria. Then Mumu, along with more than 400 children in her community, received a treated mosquito bed net from Compassion.
"Now I sleep comfortably," she says. "I do my homework without even thinking about the mosquitoes. I am glad that I have a net to sleep under every night!"
Compassion intervenes by:
- Providing households at risk with treated mosquito nets
- Educating family members on malaria prevention
- Treating those suffering from malaria, chagas disease and dengue fever
