A GoRep is an Independent Contractor for Compassion who travels around the country to facilitate events on behalf of Compassion. GoReps are passionate individuals who are seeking some adventure before starting their career.

After submitting an online application and resume, all eligible applicants will complete a solo video interview. Selected applicants will move forward in the interview process, which includes at least one additional interview with Compassion employees.

Go Reps can expect to be home one to two weeks at a time and typically fly home between each event.

Each day as a GoRep looks very different. Generally speaking, GoReps can expect to travel to an event somewhere within the contingent United States. They will get checked into a local hotel and will complete any pre-event tasks. GoReps will assist with event setup, volunteer training, and event facilitation throughout the duration of the event. Once the event is completed, GoReps will fulfill any necessary post event tasks. GoReps may have a free day in a city to explore before they are required to travel home or to their next event.

All required travel expenses are covered by Compassion. A GoRep may be required to cover some expenses up front, such as airfare baggage, volunteer expenses, etc., that they will be reimbursed for. Because of that, we highly recommend that all GoReps travel with at least two forms of payment at all times. GoRep’s will also be provided a Per Diem on their days on the road.

GoReps may work a variety of events for Compassion, including but limited to Compassion Sunday's, conferences, or leadership events. GoReps will not be required to plan any events. They will serve as the onsite facilitator for events that have already been planned and scheduled.

Financially, as Independent Contractors, GoReps are required to cover their own business expenses, like insurance. All travel expenses as a GoRep are paid. However, there may be circumstances where a GoRep needs to cover a cost up front which they will be reimbursed for. Because of that, we highly recommend that all GoReps travel with at least two forms of payment at all times.

All lodging while travelling for Compassion is covered. However, Compassion does not supply GoReps with housing when they are not working events.

Due to travel regulations with rental cars and hotels, all GoReps must be 21 by the start of the GoRep program. GoReps must live within the contingent United States. All GoReps must be able to provide proof that they are authorized to work in the United States.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide work visa sponsorship for any applicant that resides outside of the U.S.

As things are constantly evolving, the GoRep program is adapting the make appropriate changes. GoReps are provided with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and educated on how to properly disinfect their event space. GoReps are equipped and trained on how to appropriately handle situations that may arise because of COVID-19.
