Thank you for supporting HIV/AIDS Care

Your giving to Compassion’s HIV/AIDS Care supports families who are directly affected by HIV/AIDS, including children, siblings and parents who experience the chronic physical and emotional hardships of living with the virus.

By contributing to HIV/AIDS Care, you are helping to provide:

  • Education about HIV/AIDS prevention, including mother-to-child transmission.
  • Antiretroviral therapy (ART) to combat the disease.
  • Voluntary counseling and testing for children and caregivers.
  • Nutritional support that helps make treatment more effective.
  • Transportation to and from clinics for treatments.

Thank you for helping to provide treatment and support to those suffering from HIV! You are giving children and their families hope. That is love in action.

Why Your Support Is So Critical

An estimated 37.9 million people worldwide were living with HIV in 2018. Of these, 1.7 million were children under 15 years of age.1

Only 54% of children under age 15 who are living with HIV are receiving lifesaving antiretroviral therapy (ART).2

17 million children have lost one or both parents to AIDS; 90% of those children live in sub-Saharan Africa.3

Ways to Pray

  • Pray that more children who are HIV-positive will receive antiretroviral therapy.
  • Ask God to protect and provide for all children who have lost one or both parents to AIDS.
  • Pray that those who have been diagnosed with HIV will find the church to be a safe place where they can find both physical and emotional healing.
  • Ask God to give teenagers and caregivers patience and open minds as they learn at Compassion centers how to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS.
