Child Survival Program

Haiti — Central America

In the community of Marmont, many children die from waterborne illnesses. These diseases are preventable and the CSP focuses on training mothers on safe sanitation techniques and basic healthcare. Now mothers understand the importance of safe drinking water as well as using the medical resources when needed.

Stephanie is a single mom of twins and she lives with her parents. The father of her children abandoned them, so the CSP has been instrumental in helping Stephanie and her children.

"My baby was frail and weak. Since I came to the CSP, my life has been different. My child is living better too. The CSP is helping her to gain weight and strength."
