Giving Tuesday - Compassion International

Giving Tuesday is a global day dedicated to giving back to causes and charities through non-profit organizations. #GivingTuesday started in 2012 as a philanthrophic response to the widely-recognized shopping events of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Giving Tuesday kicks off the season of Christmas get-togethers, gifts, volunteering, and end-of-year giving, spotlighting charitable events and fundraising to millions worldwide.

This Giving Tuesday, give hope and life-saving care to mothers and babies. Your generous donation offers much-needed assistance to mothers and children in poverty. Thank you for your consideration and prayers, not just on Giving Tuesday, but every day.

Support moms during pregnancy and birth, and give babies a healthy start!

Your gift provides the following:

  • Nutritious food and vitamins
  • Check-ups and birth assistance
  • Training for moms in skills to earn income
  • Biblical mentoring & child-rearing lessons

14-year-old Cindy didn't let circumstances of poverty and family pressure keep her from having her baby. Today, she is a confident young mom with a beautiful, thriving baby girl! Thanks to generous donations to Compassion Survival, moms like Cindy receive the following:

  1. Home-based care: Mothers get monthly visits by a specialist, education in prenatal care and early child-rearing, and biblical mentoring.
  2. Group-based learning activities: Mothers receive basic education and income-generation training to combat long-term poverty and support their families.
  3. Advocacy: We want mothers know that they are not alone. Advocates ensure that both baby and mom receive funding for medical treatments, birth attendants and fair treatment by local services.
  4. Survival centers: Compassion staff coordinates outreach and care, a safe place for babies to play and grow, and a nurturing environment for moms.

Because of Compassion Survival, thousands of babies and mothers in poverty have received help. 93.6 percent of Survival births were attended by a skilled healthcare professional. 90.3 percent of newborns were in the normal weight range. 97 percent of them were born full-term. The program works and we'd love for you to be a part of it!
