Disaster Alert: January 23, 2019

On January 20, 2019 the country was alerted of strong winds and low temperatures in some areas of El Salvador; particularly in the central region. The strong winds continue to cause trees, billboards, roofs, and electric poles to fall down and there are some fires. In addition, the low temperatures could impact health as a result of respiratory illness. So far, no Child Development Centers (CDCs) or beneficiaries have been reported as affected. We praise God that there are no reports of beneficiaries being affected. However, please continue to pray for the health and safety of beneficiaries in this area as the strong winds and low temperatures continue. Compassion El Salvador will keep us updated as more information becomes available.
