Disaster Alert: November 10, 2020

The Caribbean coast in northern Colombia is experiencing heavy rains since Hurricane Eta passed through the region. The Fundación River and other creeks in the area have overflowed and caused flooding in several communities – La Guajira, Sucre, Córdoba, Antioquia, Bolivar and Magdalena. Many homes were damaged, including the furniture and household items.

So far, three Child Development Centers (CDC) and 663 beneficiaries have been affected. The local relief agencies have supported affected families with food, as well as machinery to draw water. The CDCs and the Compassion Colombia National Office are monitoring and assessing damages.

Please pray for the safety and provision of beneficiaries, families, church partners and staff in Colombia.
