The weather has improved in Sorong City, with much less rain. All of the affected families were provided with basic food and beds. A total of 19 beneficiaries were affected.

Update #1: July 28, 2020

Sorong City is still experiencing heavy rainfall. To date, 19 beneficiaries and their families have been affected. The Child Development Centers are supporting the affected beneficiaries and their families with food, clothing and beds.

Please continue to pray for the affected families recovery and the church partners as they minister to them.

Disaster Alert: July 20, 2020

On July 16th there was heavy rain for several hours in Sorong City in East Indonesia. The rains caused flooding of streets, the local hospital, and many homes. Beneficiaries and project staff from five Child Development Centers (CDC's) were impacted (e.g. their homes flooded), however specific details are not available yet. The CDC's are assessing the impact and the affected families are being supported with meals, soap, clothes and blankets.

Please pray for the affected beneficiaries, staff and families as they recover from the flood damages.
