Advisory: Flooding in Recife, Brazil

Disaster Alert: June 17, 2019

Heavy rains have caused flooding in the city of Recife in the State of Pernambuco. As the river overflowed, many homes were destroyed. So far, 103 beneficiaries have been affected.

The Child Development Center (CDC), located in Recife, was not damaged and they are able to provide support to the affected beneficiaries and their families. The CDC is utilizing Compassion Disaster Relief Funds to provide drinking water, food, hygiene products, clothes and mattresses. The affected families are temporarily staying in schools or with relatives.
