Advisory: Flooding in Bolaang Mongondow, North Sulawesi, East Indonesia

Final Update: April 21, 2020

IThankfully, there is no more flooding in the Bolaang area and life is returning to normal. In total, 25 beneficiaries were affected. The affected families received plywood from the government to build simple homes. The East Indonesia National Office plans to use Crisis Intervention funds to further assist the families to rebuild their homes. The families with damaged homes are still living with neighbors or relatives.

Update #1: April 14, 2020

The Project Facilitator and the Child Development Centers (CDVCs) are continuing their assessment. The CDCs provided food and cookware to the affected beneficiaries. Some beneficiaries are living with relatives because their homes are damaged.

Please pray for the church partners as they minister to the affected beneficiaries and their families.

Disaster Alert: April 6, 2020

In late March, heavy rains caused flooding in Bolaang Mongondow, North Sulawesi. Beneficiary impact details are not yet available. The CDCs are assessing damages to homes and overall impact to beneficiaries and their families.
