Update #1: August 31, 2020

To date, the Child Development Center (CDC) in the impacted area reported 10 beneficiaries and their families have been affected by the flooding. The CDC staff are utilizing disaster relief funds to support the affected families with food, beds, mattresses, and other livelihood items.

Disaster Alert: August 25, 2020

Severe flooding occurred in the town of Bahir-Dar in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia. It caused damage to homes and household items, as well as loss of livelihood. So far, specific beneficiary impact details are not available yet. We do know that one Child Development Center has been impacted. Their building was flooded, which caused damage to furniture, computers and cameras.
