Disaster Update: September 9, 2020

The flooding has continued in Lake Baringo. To date, 15 beneficiaries and their families have been impacted. The affected families have relocated and are temporarily living with friends and family. They lost their livelihood and household items. The Child Development Center is supporting them with food and warm clothes.

Please pray for provision for the affected beneficiaries and their families as they look for new homes.

Disaster Alert: July 2020

Prolonged rainfall for the last three months has caused Lake Baringo, in the Rift Valley, to overflow and flood the area. The flooding has damaged crops, displaced families, and increased conflicts with animals (those usually in the water are now grazing on the land).

At this time, specific beneficiaries impact details are not yet available. The church partner staff are assessing the impact and determining how to best assist the affected families due to their displacement and/or loss of livelihood.

Please pray for the safety and provision of affected beneficiaries and their families.
