In total, eight beneficiaries were affected. The Child Development Center supported the affected families by helping them find new places to live.

Update #1: August 26, 2020

So far, seven beneficiaries have been affected. The affected families are living in temporary locations and are receiving relief items, including food. The Child Development Center is supporting the process for the families to find new permanent accommodations.

Please continue to pray for the affected beneficiaries and families as they recover from the losses and damages, while living in temporary locations.

Disaster Alert: August 21, 2020

On Saturday, August 15th a fire gutted the slum settlement known as the “kiosk estate” in the Shiashie community of the Greater Accra Region in Ghana. Most families are now homeless. At this time, beneficiary impact details are not yet available. The FCP is assessing damages and losses of the beneficiaries and their families. Those impacted are living with friends, relatives or in a temporary camp.
