The Child Development Centers completed their assessment of the fire that affected this community. A total of six beneficiaries and their families were impacted by the fire. All of the beneficiaries and their families received immediate relief support.

Update #1: August 14, 2019

The Child Development Centers (CDCs) confirmed that, to date, five beneficiaries and their families were impacted by the fire. The CDCs continue to provide relief support to the families in coordination with the local government.

Please continue to pray for the beneficiaries and their families as they recover from the damages and losses.

Disaster Alert: August 5, 2019

A fire occurred on July 14, 2019 at around 12 midnight, in the highly populated area of Baranguay Gun-ob. It has been reported that 181 homes were destroyed in the community. The local government is providing relief assistance and has promised financial assistance to the families to help rebuild their homes.

So far, no Child Development Centers (CDCs) have been affected. It is estimated that five beneficiaries lost their homes in the fire, however specific beneficiary impact details are not yet available. The case workers and small group leaders from the CDCs visited the families to provide support and assess damages. The CDCs are gathering used clothing and have provided groceries, tents and some basic household supplies.
