Before your presentation: Prepare and recruit volunteers
  1. Review the Child Survival Program packet. Each packet contains a photo and information about the Child Survival Program. The commitment form is simple; read it and be familiar with how to fill it out.
  2. Make arrangements for your table display. Arrange for tables to be placed in a location where people can find it easily, ideally near an entrance, by the door or facing the main sanctuary.
  3. Recruit volunteers to help staff the table display. Review the FAQ sheet with your volunteers so they are equipped to answer questions that may arise when helping donors fill out the commitment form.
  4. Review the resources available for your CSP presentation:
    1. FAQs about Compassion and CSP
    2. Three moms tell their stories of survival
    3. Photos of moms and babies from Compassion’s Child Survival Program
    4. Financial Integrity Card
    5. Downloadable presentation video: CSP in Kenya
Day of presentation: Set up display and help people sign up
  1. Use tablecloths on your tables. We suggest the colors white or blue.
  2. To draw attention to your sign-up area, use the table top display and poster.
  3. Display the CSP packets so they cover the table.
  4. For ease of sign-up, it may be helpful to have two tables: one table for the CSP packets and one table for the sign-up process. Once a donor has picked up a packet, he/she can move to the sign-up table to fill out the form.
  5. The sign-up table should be uncluttered and free of anything other than pens for filling out the form.
  6. Keep completed forms together in one envelope and keep in a secure place. There is confidential financial information on each form, and you cannot compromise its security.
  7. Go to the sign-up table immediately after the service ends. Help people sign up. Be friendly and helpful in answering questions. If you are unable to answer a question, call (800) 336-7676.
After your presentation: Return forms to Compassion

Return completed forms immediately after the event. Send back all completed forms and payments in the return envelope with the prepaid FedEx label. Drop off the envelope at any FedEx Ground location or go to to arrange a pick-up. NOTE: Please only use FedEx Ground shipping service.
