With a bachelor, two Master’s, an Ed.D. degree and more than 15 years working experience in Christian non-profit ministry, Lorie has seen first-hand that working with and through the local church brings lasting influence and hope to the world. Believing strongly in this foundation, she joined the staff of Compassion International more than 5 years ago. Having held roles in Compassion’s International, US marketing, and Executive offices, she saw a need to document the rich history of Compassion.
Lorie just finished a three-year process of acquiring an Educational Doctorate in Christian Ministry and Administration. She spent the majority of her time researching the sixty-two-year history of Compassion International. Dr. Lee has an extensive knowledge of Compassion’s history, foundation for ministry, and holds a unique perspective on how God has guided its leaders since the humble beginning in 1952.
Lorie is passionate about the local church and its calling to be the salt and light of the world. She believes that the work of Compassion is a strategic tool that the Church can utilize in their calling to be a beacon of light in their community.
