How Compassion Helps
Bringing water to the Birishiri child development center in Bangladesh was backbreaking work. The Compassion staff hauled buckets of water from a pond more than a mile away. While the children had water to drink and wash their hands with, it was dirty and there was never enough.
But thanks to Compassion donors, a new well was built and now provides a steady supply of fresh, clean water.
"The kids can use the clean water for washing their hands, and they suffer from fewer sicknesses", center Director Mark Rema says. "I want to thank those thoughtful donors who always think about the children, and take away their troubles."
