"I love the Lord Jesus and have since I was eight-years-old. I taught school for many years, ending with teaching at the community college level for six years. I have two grown children and five grandchildren. My husband of 44 years is a pastor. Both of my children's families sponsor children and now my eldest grandgirl is a sponsor also! I love Compassion and thrilled to be an Advocate!"

"Redeemed, restored, forgiven... and very much a work in progress... wandering, yet moving forward. Blessed to be a father to an amazing son, and husband to a wife I don't deserve. Excited to be a part of what God is doing through Compassion. Having seen changed lives through this ministry, I can't stay quiet. Join me. Come and see. I'm glad to share in your journey to serve the downtrodden and bring God's word to the world."

"I've been walking (often, stumbling) with Jesus for 25 years. Immediately after my conversion, God impressed on my heart that ministering to 'the least of these' is central to His heart and Kingdom plan. When I'm not delivering mail for the USPS, you'll find me running, reading, watching TV shows from the 70s or advocating wtih Compassion."

"God has greatly blessed my husband and I with awe-inspiring relationships with our sponsored children. Along with being a sponsor, I find guiding/orienting new Advocates a great joy and blessing.  I love hearing their stories as they seek out Jesus' calling to serve the poor through Compassion.  God never ceases to amaze me as He works through His people to serve His people at all ends of the earth." "The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped." (Proverbs 11:25 msg)

"I'm awed by how God used my secular job to introduce me to His heart for 'the least of these'. Because of this, my relationship with the Lord is consumed with using His blessings to fight for the rights of the oppressed. That's why I'm an Advocate Coach and Orientation Leader with Compassion. I feel God's pleasure in my conversations with other Advocates."

"I am passionate about changing the world into Heaven on Earth. I love to talk about Compassion and listening to the excitement in new Advocates. I have been blessed with a wife, three children and seven grandchildren. God is good and I want the world to know it!"

"I have been married to my fantastic husband, Josh, for over 10 years. He is also an advocate and shares my passion for Compassion's ministry. We have 3 beautiful children and we love spending time together. As an orientation leader, I love hearing the excited nervousness in a new advocate's voice when God's calling on their life is confirmed in their heart. God is good and He is using Compassion advocates to rescue one child at a time!"

"I am passionate about helping the world's children who live in poverty. Being an Advocate gives me an opportunity to directly live Compassion's mission to release childrenfrom poverty in Jesus' name and to help other people do so as well. I also work at my church in the Missions & Outreach Ministry, reaching out to local, national and international people who live in spiritual and economic poverty. My work now is an extension of my God directed career in Social Work."

"I became a Christian when I was about 30 years old and sponsoring a child with Compassion International was one of the first charitable organizations I became involved with. Visiting our sponsored child in Haiti in 2001 was a real life changing event for me...first time to REALLY SEE poverty in a developing country and also confirming that Compassion does what it says it does. I held a Compassion Sunday at our church after that trip and soon afterwards became an advocate. It's been a great experience!"
