Dear God . . . Why is Ethiopia so poor?
Sweet little friend, I don't know the answer. But I do know God's choicest servants throughout history have experienced great trouble and pain. And at their weakest, God used them greatly in His strength! This is Wess Stafford, President of Compassion International. One of our Leadership Development students recently wrote, "I know God will bless my country, and all of Africa, through young Christians like me who fear His name. God will answer our prayers and give us His peace in our country." I am so proud of this young man, once a child in poverty, and now studying at a major university in Ethiopia. Pray for him.
