Dear God . . . Why don't I grow faster?
Yesi, at your age I was just as anxious to grow as you are! You'll get there, my friend! This is Wess Stafford, President of Compassion International. Having said that, there's no getting away from the fact that impoverished, malnourished mothers, often give birth to underweight babies, which can cause chronic malnutrition, frequent illness and a child to do poorly in life. You can do something about it — right where you are. Organize a food bank in your church. Find out what a local shelter is doing and volunteer your time to help distribute food and clothing. Support a global organization that's successfully feeding children — both physically and spiritually. If we don't begin somewhere — nothing will change! This is Wess Stafford.
