Dear God . . . Could you give a job to my father? He hasn't worked in a long time.
Ana, I know you're worried and scared. I would be, too. Being without a job is hard. I'll pray right along with you, little friend! This is Wess Stafford, President of Compassion International. Children hear and see so much more than we think they do. And without any explanation or reassurance, they become fearful. It's understandable. Children don't have much influence over what takes place in their life. Giving a child reassurance, a listening ear, or an appropriate explanation can be the difference in their little hearts between fear and security. Let them know you understand. The more successfully a child can communicate their feelings, the less threatening those feelings become. Be an encourager in a child's life. This is Wess Stafford. Speak up with compassion to a child in your world.
