Dear God . . . Why do parents have children if they're just going to abuse them?
Katherine, my heart aches with yours for abused children. We must do everything we can to not only love them — but protect them! This is Wess Stafford, President of Compassion International. f you encounter five children, the chances are at least one of them is "at-risk" for abuse. But there are things you can do. Much of the abuse that's reported by children occurs through the public school, most often after a presentation by a social worker. Children hear these presentations and realize for the first time that what's happening to them is wrong. Support your local school's prevention programs. Be informed and listen carefully to children you encounter. Let children know they matter! hat you care! This is Wess Stafford. Speak up with compassion for the children in your orld.
