I know it's sad and frightening, Adriane. I feel that, too. But if we know Jesus we know we can trust Him during a tragedy. We know He's in charge of everything! This is Wess Stafford, President of Compassion International.
2nd Timothy says, "Preach the Word. Be ready and prepared." I believe that verse is speaking directly to those of us who minister in the wake of a disaster. Be prepared to encourage; ready to offer hope at just the right moment. Help a child through a scary time. Be quick to comfort, but slow to urge "getting over it!" Use these teaching moments to bring hope to a child. That's being the hands of Jesus. This is Wess Stafford. Be ready to speak up with compassion for a child in your world!
