Dear God . . . Why are so many babies sick?
Oh Kamila, what a heart of compassion! And your prayer is a sad reminder that children suffer when we do nothing! This is Wess Stafford, President of Compassion International. I wish all the prayers of children were more lighthearted, more fun. But more and more, they reflect the extreme suffering taking place in the world. One-fifth of us live in countries where we think nothing of spending $2 a day (or more!) on a latte. While another fifth of humanity struggles just to survive on less than $1 a day … and children die for want of a simple anti-mosquito bed net. Sometimes it takes a child's prayer to get us motivated!
