Dear God. . .Why are my parents poor? If you make them rich I promise not to brag!
Oh Ajeng, God loves you so much. I don't have all the answers. But I do know this: God wants you to have all you need…and He wants us to help you. This is Wess Stafford, President of Compassion International. I often ask people what they think the opposite of poverty is. They almost always say "being rich." But that's not it at all. The opposite of poverty is "enough." Do you have more than "enough?" If so, God has called you even commanded you to share with those who don't. Gandhi put it this way: "Live simply so others may simply live." When you share your resources with a child in poverty, you jumpstart a lifetime of sharing. You may even save a life. This is Wess Stafford. Speak up with compassion for the children of the world!
