Dear God. . .I want to be a policewoman — because I like people to behave!
Nina, you make me smile! I'm convinced you've got what it takes to be the best policewoman ever! This is Wess Stafford, President of Compassion International. Help children set goals for themselves. It could be learning to tie their own shoes, or spelling their name or learning to ride a bike. Celebrate each success they have. Kids who feel successful in one area are much more likely to try to learn something else. Take an interest in their schoolwork. Ask them to write a story about something they like to do. One child advocate started a scrapbook for her child with awards, ribbons and lots of pictures. Challenge a child to think and dream big! This is Wess Stafford. Speak up with compassion to a child in your world!
